OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Knock Methodist Church is a vibrant church community of all ages, committed to being a welcoming and inclusive place of worship. We strive to be a light in our community, promoting the love of God and neighbour through our actions and words. At the heart of our mission is our three-stranded approach to Christian living, learning the way, living the faith, and loving each other.

To answer these threads, we have three groups who each strive to bring God’s love and nurture into our church. Our members are committed to growing in faith and understanding, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, and caring for our neighbours in need.

LEARNING THE WAY

This group looks after worship, discipleship and prayer. Group convenor is Andrew Haley.

2

LIVING THE FAITH

This group looks after mission and fellowship. Convenor is Rev. Fiona.

3

LOVING EACH OTHER

This group looks after the pastoral care of the congregation. Convenor is Rev. Fiona.

The Methodist people in Ireland, and friends, join with partners around the world to proclaim Christ’s love and offer of salvation am to promote church growth. This is done by giving and receiving, teaching and learning, praying and being prayed for and serving and being served.

Prayer

Father, we thank you for our world church family, a diverse collection of people united by the bond we share with you. Strengthen the connections between your churches so that we would be an effective witness to your grace. Please guide the staff and committee of World Mission Partnership, show them how to use the talents and resources you have given them. Help them to work effectively with our brothers and sisters overseas to make your love known throughout the world. Amen
